Dynamic Tension by notdeadjackFandoms: 僕のヒーローアカデミア | Boku no Hero Academia | My Hero Academia23 Nov 2022 TagsSummaryKirishima never really noticed just how tiny Bakugou's waist is, until he suddenly does. And then he really notices. Bookmarked by TheWriterChaotic29 Feb 2024 Bookmarker's Tags:Bookmarker's Notes02/2024: "There is something so hilarious and real about Kirishima getting so caught up in the structure of Bakugou's body. I can hear his voice and excitement so clearly, and his focus was so sharp that even I as the reader did not entirely realize that Bakugou hadn't said anything or made any moves. I genuinely laughed out loud when Kirishima finally looked up at him. The mirroring of their points of view also had me laughing, specifically with Bakugou unsure how aware Kirishima is versus how very aware Kirishima is of his problem. You really captured that himbo energy perfectly. It was fantastic to see Bakugou's side of the experience, but I was so glad to see you ending in Kirishima's. It felt like a perfect circuit, with that complete understanding the moment Bakugou points out how much they both enjoy it. That it took him essentially doing a full on science experiment to get there gives the whole story an undertone of humor that I thoroughly enjoy."

Bookmarked by TheWriterChaotic14 Dec 2023 Bookmarker's Tags:Bookmarker's Notes12/2023: "This story is absolutely fantastic. I've read it through at least three times in the last couple of years, and the impact of it has not diminished in the slightest. First of all, I adore your voice for Kirishima. You encapsulate his insecurities and bright personality so well. He has a lot of growth from the first chapter to the last, and it's the little moments -his doubting himself, not telling Bakugou about his role decisions, going back to speak to Toshinori -that feel so powerful. The world is so full of life! There is a sense of bustle and crowd and noise in the scenes where Kirishima is filming or at a bar, which makes each scene with only him and Bakugou feel more focused and intimate. It sounds like an obvious feature in stories, but that's not always the case, and it is clearly felt in your writing. The chemistry between Bakugou and Kirishima is palpable, both as potential romantic partners and as friends. They are hilarious but also frustrating and exhilarating. You can really feel the ups and downs of their relationship as they figure themselves out (and fail at communication). I've admittedly cried quite a bit when they don't see eye-to-eye, and it was great lol I have so many favorite parts, but a lot of my favorites are the moments where their friends appear. Camie, Ashido, and Kaminari feel so real in their individual support for Bakugou and Kirishima. It was good to see this world you created and how our two main characters are affecting not only each other but the people around them."

TagsSummaryRiot prefers taking over a host completely and not having to deal with a true symbiosis, but Drake needs to stay intact for the plan to work. It is unprepared for Drake, who doesn’t have the sense to be afraid. Riot is equally unprepared for the complex flood of chemicals that make up the human experience. Bookmarked by TheWriterChaotic27 Apr 2023 Bookmarker's Notes04/2023: "This is honestly one of my favorite stories in this fandom. I love how much Riot sneers at having Drake as a host while also being constantly surprised and equally curious in the same measure. There is a level of prejudice that borders on humorous, but it's that assumption that makes it all the sweeter when Drake does something unexpected to the symbiote. The way you describe how Riot processes things -cascades, emotions that have a taste -is inspired. It has changed how I view symbiotes in the best way. It is both foreign in its inherent design and familiar in that we -the readers, humans -relate and feel. The power dynamic, the push and pull of what Riot says it wants versus how Drake responds is electric. I really felt the two separate entities come together and merge, as if they were always, inevitably going to get to this point. It makes me wonder -both in your story and in the movie canon -of how compatible Drake really was for Riot. But what's more is that, in the end, we don't know who has the upper hand. The confidence that the host couldn't keep a secret from it is undermined by the fact that Riot learned something new about his host in the first place. There is a whisper of unease about the last few sentences that is perfect."

The characterizations of Rock Lee and Gaara are spot on. It's hilarious and terrifying, as it should be. The character growth of those two both together and individually is great. I have read this story more than once, and I still get surprised, despite knowing what happens next. I recommend this, even if you don't care for the pairing. You may change your mind afterwards.

But Our Records Keep Skipping by Robbirdthe8th (FictionalFeather)Fandoms: 僕のヒーローアカデミア | Boku no Hero Academia | My Hero Academia17 Jul 2020 TagsSummary"It's not like any of my exes ever said 'let's fuck or I'm leaving you' but...yeah. It's a factor." "You just didn't want to sleep with any of them?" "I wanted to. Bookmarked by TheWriterChaotic11 Aug 2022 Bookmarker's Tags:Bookmarker's Notes08/2022: "I love how you write Shouta; he feels both in control of himself and somehow not at the same time. There is a line right at the beginning of the story that I felt encapsulates this: A compilation of every filthy fantasy Shouta had ever had flickered across his mind, and he forced himself to count to five before saying "yes." It's a constant back and forth as the story progresses, all the way down to the last line. He wants so much, and sometimes it feels like he hates himself for it. It's like his inner monologue is crueler to compensate for when he does something that lets him enjoy being in love. The dialogue between Shouta and Hizashi feels so seamless. The years of their friendship is felt, especially when Hizashi tells Shouta about Hishida. The quiet way they talk, the way they react to each other on that bench and then later in bed, it all feels familiar despite the new ways they are experiencing each other. One of my favorite things about this story is that we don't get Hizashi's point of view other than through Shouta. There is room for interpretation, both for Shouta and the reader, and I enjoy that ambiguity. Hizashi clearly went through some trauma from dating Hishida, and it is interesting to see how Shouta internalizes what Hizashi is saying and doing and responding. This goes for how Shouta interprets Hizashi's actions in bed, too. I like the wondering, curious about how Hizashi is actually handling it versus what Shouta thinks and shuts down. I think what I may like best about the story is that it wasn't inevitable. Shouta made the decision to sleep with Hizashi with full awareness that he was helping a friend but also taking the opportunity to sleep with the man he loves, and the ensuing story is the consequence of that decision. It's what makes the final scene so powerful to me. I can't decide if Shouta's pounding heart and grabbing Hizashi's hand is fear, hope, or an affirmation, and it kicks me in the chest every time."
