Eddie blinks. “You…don’t know how to floss?”
Buck glares at him. “Obviously I know how to floss,” he sasses, which is a good point. Eddie has seen him do it hundreds of times. Buck is very diligent with his oral hygiene. “I just don’t know whether I should. It’s not sexy. I wouldn’t usually, if I - - y’know, historically, at this point,” he says, gesturing between them. “I wouldn’t.”
Or, Eddie is a low maintenance sleeper. Buck tries to explode his snoring strips with his mind.

He sees forever when he looks at Eddie, but he might never get that. He might not even get tomorrow with him. And how is that fair? How can he lose him when he’s only just found him - when he’s only just realised? God, how is he supposed to tell Chris?

Eddie gasps. Breath getting stuck in his chest, burns through his body with fierce determination. And all he can do is wait it out. He tries to open his eyes again.The blurriness is less but still there. His head protests every blink he takes. His body feels imobile, heavy, pinned even. He can’t grab the thread of consciousness and lets darkness take him again. For a brief second he thinks he should be concerned. About the rushing sound, the pain, the lack of awareness. But just for a second.
