"Being closeted was hard, that was just a fact of life. Being closeted in rural Georgia was really hard. Being closeted in rural Georgia and getting abducted by aliens was a level of unfairness and cruelty that left Eric Bittle going over the span of his entire 19 years of existence to try to figure out exactly where he went wrong."
In which Eric Bittle, baker and mostly wholesome Georgia boy, gets abducted by aliens, and then the government, and might have to team up with a group of even bigger freaks than himself to become government issued superheroes to make it home. Or else, maybe just accept the fact that these freaks might just be his new home, or something lame and weird like that.

Summary
Link couldn't be sure if he was always this way; was he even remotely the same person he was 100 years ago? He was quite sure the boy he'd been had died and come back a monster, a hollow shell of bitterness and rage, blunt in every aspect but the ones that made him a perfect killer. Who remained that could offer him the truth? It felt as though everyone that had truly known him took those answers with them, leaving his life a tattered patchwork of various endings. He saw no reason not to simply allow Hyrule to come to an end as well. There was only one person in his life that offered kindness and comfort, asking nothing in return, one person that could make him feel something, rather than nothing, one person who seemed to represent a beginning, rather than an ending.

It all starts innocent enough, as these things often do. It’s not really peer pressure so much as it’s peer curiosity, Eric reasons. Ransom and Holster are, honestly, just impressed by the videos of Southern Junior Regionals they found on YouTube and they want to see the routine in real life.
“The Full Eric Bittle Experience,” is what Holster called it.
That's all good and fine, except for the part of Eric’s chest that aches with something a little darker than nostalgia as he remembers the the spins and jumps that made him feel like he was flying, and everything that broke it down.
