"Still frightened, little warrior?" Baelor shouted over the wind, the old teasing name now carrying a new weight.
"I'm not fucking little!" Maekar yelled back, but he was laughing too, with a wild, soaring joy that made him want to scream with it.
Baelor reached back with one hand, his grip finding his wrist and pulling him flush against him. Maekar let go of his jerkin and wrapped his arms around his middle, his cheek pressing hard between his shoulder blades. He could feel the steady, thunderous drum of his heart, a warrior's heart, calm and strong against the chaos. This dragon in a human form was his in a way no one would never be. -

10 lines of Daerion cocaine and levels of bitchiness that are clinically disturbing. Aeron is the Lord-keeper of the Dragonstone, just back from some terrifying war. Daeron is the smart one here and talking out his brother from plunging into madness and making a bloodbath to usurp the throne (offering something instead?). Baelor lives btw and is the king, a better one than they all deserve, but he is almost not in the fic. (Everything is made up I have NOT read the books and created this powered by horny energy and horny energy only. High Valyrian probably inaccurate too).

And now that feeling transformed from something invariable and yet subtle to an overflowing terrible attack on the very basics of his existence. Jasper was pretty used to wanting someone's head on a plate, sometimes with a yet warm body attached to it, but now he felt like he was the one being served on a plate. It was all almost impossible and Jasper knew he could stop this any moment; humans were so fragile after all. Half of Jasper wanted to kill Guy and run away. The other half never wanted this tantalizingly slow torture to stop.
