Summary
Long time best friends talking and trying to reconnect when time, distance, and life in general are pulling them apart. It won't make much sense without reading Carry On, Carry On by wolflings. There is nothing graphic here but it refers to a traumatic event in that story.
Some quotes from Wolflings to set the scene.:
[Beth] said, in that offhand, blunt way of hers, “I am very ready for it to be 1984, George Orwell, be damned.”
“Anyway. I have been to the doctor, and I’m assured the risk is very low, but you know how paranoid Benny can get, and he’s—well, he’s lost people, too.” [Beth to Townes]

Summary
Townes gets an offer to write up a gay friendly (and fae friendly) vacation spot for a magazine and he and Roger go off on a beach vacation to celebrate their anniversary. Magical things happen because it is a fantasy AU with selkies (seal shapeshifters). It's a fanfic version of a sexy summer beach read. Mostly fluff, minimal angst.
"When I read your fic it makes me think of this, like, fuzzy photograph from the '60s of a sunny beach. Just nostalgia for a time I've never even existed in." --Reader Comment

Summary
This story came from me asking: “What if Alice’s brand of 'crazy' from the Queen’s Gambit series was really her having psychic abilities she wasn’t able to handle? And what if Beth’s fears about going crazy like her mother are because she has the same latent psychic abilities? And then what happens if Beth visits the haunted Overlook Hotel from The Shining?” There was so much potential for psychological horror I had to write it! It very much started out as crack!fic taken seriously but then it took on a life (afterlife?) of its own. So here is Beth being haunted by her own personal ghosts as well as those that reside at the Overlook Hotel.
If you aren't a horror fan, this is mostly psychological horror--lots of creepy atmosphere and ghosts trying to get into Beth's head. There are some disturbing images but not a huge amount of blood or violence. I hope that helps you determine if this exceeds your personal horror tolerance. I rated the story Teen. If it were a movie it would be closer to PG-13 than R I think. It's not scarier than The Shining if that helps.
Edit: This may be scarier than I originally planned--maybe even an R rating. My beta reader recommends not reading it at bedtime.

Summary
Beth is very lucky she didn't drown in that bathtub in Paris. But maybe it wasn't luck at all. Maybe someone was looking out for her after all, even in one of her lowest moments. You never know when a little pussycat may be what saves you.
If any Jenny and the Cat Club fans come across this story, it isn't meant for very young children (tween and up should be okay) and none of the original Cat Club characters appear in the story. But Suzette is a Parisian hotel cat similar to the ones who appear in the Cat Club stories. I debated about the rating and went with teen to be safe because of irresponsible alcohol use.

Pining, a little smut, more pining. And the definition of susurration, for anyone in danger of forgetting. Plus Beth being headstrong and perhaps a bit self-destructive.

Benny’s got a decent-sized list of things worth a damn in this life, but right at the top are chess and Beth—pleasing Beth and making Beth melt and making Beth laugh and yeah, making her roll her eyes, too.

Summary
“I’m here, Beth. Right here.” He gets on top of her, hovering just above her on one elbow, pinning her down with his eyes.
She swallows, licks her lips underneath the gravity of his gaze.
“So whatever the fuck you’re thinking—it’s bullshit,” says Benny. “You got me."

If it had been the matter of Spock's family and the role she would play in it, then Stonn would have been enough. He, too, is a good match; better, even, than Spock, and still, he is not enough.
