Summary
Akrasia /əˈkreɪzɪə/
Noun
The phenomenon of acting against one's better judgement—the state in which one intentionally performs an action while simultaneously believing that a different course of action would be better.Drift huffs, and in the blink of an eye the little bat is replaced with a disheveled Drift irritatedly righting her top hat and fixing her coat. "As I was saying, I need to speak with you."
Aimée smirks and lazily looks her up and down, "Well, I'm all yours, beautiful."
Drift sighs, "Yes, well, I am going away for a while and I need you to promise me to behave yourself while I am gone."
Aimée's face drops, and with it, her trowel—its sharp edge plunging into the mulch with a dull thud. "What?"
"I am going away, and I would like to know that you will behave. Please?" Drift says, meeting her gaze, eyes imploring.
