Summary
When All for One died, it was supposed to get better. Japan was supposed to get better.
It didn't.
Vigilantes are now as common as heroes and villains, there's a new Trigger epidemic across the country and, to top it all, the government sometimes seems to be making it worse. Heroes are doing what they can, but that doesn't seem enough.
Meanwhile, a group of people decides that enough is enough and, tired of this never ending war between heroes and villains, try to stay out of the conflict.
But the chess pieces are moving, and they may not have the freedom to choose.

Kayn’s brain had to be short-circuiting right now, because there was no way she had just asked him to undress her. Surely he had to have misheard her, right? Right?
“A-are you sure?” he asked carefully.
Seraphine looked away for a moment, and Kayn found himself holding his breath once more. That only seemed to amplify the beating of his heart against his sternum. She flicked her eyes back to him and nodded.
“Yes. I trust you.”
***First Serakayn fanfic! These two have been living rent-free in my head since Heartsteel's debut almost a year ago. It's also Kayn and Seraphine's birthday month when I'm posting this (10/02/2024) so the timing to finally publish this is very fitting.

Summary
Zed invites Irelia, together with some of her associates and trusted allies, to the Shadow order in order to discuss a mysterious diplomatic offer with a neighboring state. On the night of her arrival she attempts to find Shieda Kayn to spar and ends up setting a series of interpersonal events into motion. The next couple of months put the two of them at odds with a great enemy and forces them to face the past they've been choosing to ignore for years. They discover a love neither of them is brave enough to openly admit.
