When they assumed the throne, both realized they would need allies to keep any sort of political stability, but none of their previous allies really wanted anything to do with Macedon anymore. Palla, alone, came, and that was an act of kindness that neither sibling could forget. They grew to rely on her, respect her and her advice, and… none could help themselves as they fell in love with the knight. Both made their point to be with the green-haired knight, and once Palla gave their an inch, they started going for a mile - in ways that she couldn't expect.

Regardless, there was something missing from this celebration that made Citrinne's heart unable to fully embrace the holiday spirit. Her girlfriend, the retired assassin, Yunaka, had been unable to join the festivities. It's fine, she thought to herself. She'd be back soon - though Yunaka didn't say when -, and they'd have a wonderful time together regardless, gifting the presents under the tree to her friends.

Summary
Both girls had their world crumble into dust. None had been chosen, and now, they had lost their loved one forever. Confusion gave side to anger, and their friendship was cast aside for that moment, as the heartbroken women blamed their loss on each other. The discussion reached heated levels, none of them finding a reasonable explanation for their rejection, choosing to cast the fault on the other, instead.
And so absorbed in their loss, fury and arguments, none noticed that they were quickly surrounded. Anger turned into fear, and they knew it was a lost battle - the pair surrendered, and were swiftly taken in, to their current predicament.

Bronya remembered that she gave in to her new life much easier than Seele - she felt the responsibility for the people of Belobog crawling on her back like a diverse cast of sins, and was easily convinced by her owner that this was the best for them. The IPC could take her whole planet as property and did what they want with them, but instead, they chose to simply take ownership of their leader and leave them as be.
Bronya knew that was the right decision.

She didn't hesitate for a second on running to the door, opening it up - and, indeed, there she was, in the flesh. Even if looking distressed, Guinaifen couldn't help but to give a bright smile as she saw her closest friend in the Xianzhou Luofu.
But the ghost knew - that was her weak point, and that's where they could get the jump on her. They wouldn't lose the opportunity.

She was certain now that her green-haired partner had very strong feelings about this - and that she was willing to go to the deep end to make her fantasies come true. She wanted to live in a fairy tale, to be like in one of the legends and books she had read so much, and she was ready to take everything that would come with this.
Cordelia was not as much as a deep follower of fairy tales as her friend, but the possibility of being the "damsel in distress" she spoke of left her heart beating fast. She could not explain why. She could not understand her own body's reaction to this - as natural as breathing, terrifying, but exciting.

"That abandoned mansion?", Soleil said, raising an eyebrow. She heard a lot of stories of how it was spooky and haunted. Probably stuff to frighten children, of course, but considering what she's seen with the army, she couldn't really doubt anything anymore.
"Indeed!", Ophelia responded, clapping her hands. "There's a sacred treasure in that palace, my courageous partner. The fates tell of the heroines that were brave enough to fight and lift the curse out of the manor, being greatly rewarded", she continued, dramatic as always. Soleil always found that amusing - a distinct charm of hers, no doubt. "And, honestly, there's nothing us two can't handle, don't you think?"
She could live to regret these words, in the future.

She finally took a glance at herself. Fjorm was not just completely bound, but also wearing just underwear. No, not her underwear - she had nothing similar to this. A blue lingerie covered her body - or tried to, because this model seemed even a little small for her. She widened her eyes as she noticed a collar around her neck, as well. What is this? She was no animal.
Her shouting seemed to attract someone, however - soon enough, she could hear the steps coming from outside, and two figures appeared in front of her before she could even take a note of it.
