It was hard to gander how long Grace was on Erid when Simon came along. He could try measuring it out using the Earth’s Gregorian calendar like he did on the Hail Mary, but that’s when he still had a “lights out” timer and didn’t live on a planet with a very different yearly calendar. Teaching little eridians has forced him to adapt to their schedule more than his.
Where was he going with this?
Right! Simon.
He still hadn’t met him yet.
Or Rocky and other eridians find a wormhole and then an injured human man! They bring him to Erid and quarantine him to get him nice and healthy, but slowly find out he’s much different than their beloved science teacher.

Zero’s left gaping, they can feel the way their brow digs into their eyelid as they try to piece everything together, though it’s pretty evident what’s going on.
“That guy you happened to play with last night happened to be a pretty huge streamer too,” Tesla starts, picking at eir nails as ey speak.
“You can’t… be serious.” Zero groans.
“Oh yeah, well I mean, his numbers aren’t as big as yours but they’re damn near close.” Tesla continues, “You guys both run in completely different gaming circles, it’s just a piss poor coincidence that you guys managed to be spawned into a game together.”
A piss poor coincidence? There’s a single thought in Zero’s head that can’t help but think that only someone like them would have such terrible luck.
