Mr. New Vegas' voice cuts off the last few second of the crooning love song on the radio. "An Update from the NCR today regarding the ongoing situation at Shady Sands. The death toll is currently 135, with the number expected to rise as evacuations continue. Refugees are going as far north as Vault City and as far east as New Vegas, and President Kimball has issued a state of emergency. The Kings and the Followers are handing out blankets and Rad-X to survivors who came to Freeside, while the Queen of the Mojave has pledged to help any refugees who cross the border, much to the ire of the Omertas and the nearby Great Khans tribe. And now, the weather..."
Late one night, the courier looks back on some choices she's made.

A contradictory mess of cynicism and idealism, Arcade just wants to help people. Courier Six seems to be his answer to properly helping the people of the Mojave Wasteland; an odd but charming delivery boy with his own set of problems, most of which stem from two bullet holes to the head.
POV Arcade during the events of Fallout: New Vegas. Explores the physical/mental effects of the Courier's brain injury, including seizures, headaches and retrograde memory loss. Very slow burn, lots of world-building and references to other games in the series (especially Fallout 2). Deals with mature themes present in the game/series overall, but chapters with heavy subject matter will be marked accordingly.
Gay people cannot just ask each other out, especially not in the Wasteland.
