Summary

What consequences will come of it and will they rip him apart with no way to breathe or can there be peace, after all?

Miles knew he should just apologize — for what he knew not, but this was where he should apologize, he didn’t want to make Phoenix sad. He just — he couldn’t tell Phoenix that he didn’t want Trucy in his life. He hadn’t signed up for that. He wasn’t a good role model.
“I don’t want to be a dad,” was what came out of his mouth. FUCK.
Phoenix blinked twice, trying to reconcile the two things. “What?”

Summary
Following a violent run-in with a witness that leaves Miles considerably injured and unable to remember far more than just the incident that caused it, he's willingly looked after by Phoenix—who's bizarrely doting and tender with him to a degree he can't recall Phoenix ever being before, and who seems to be unaware of the full extent of his injury.
For the first time in his life, Miles doesn't really know what to do about that.
