Summary
Grey and dark clouds stretch upon the expanse of the sky. The heavy rain sounded among the pile of corpses littered on the ground. Metallic and sickening odor remained throughout the bloodied battlefield, mingling with the earthy smell as the rain fell. Each time the heavy rain came into touch his skin, he felt the cold pierce him, paining him. Perhaps it wasn't the cold, but rather the person bundled carefully and preciously inside his arms, holding her as if she was a delicate glass about to shatter.
A sheet of protective barrier surrounded them, but it wasn’t going to last long enough for their survival. Among the bodies that surrounded them, hers was the one he couldn’t seemingly let go. Her blood bathed the dirt beneath his feet, slowly trickling her life away as seconds passed.
He was not about to let her go.
Not yet.
So, with a tender peck on her temple, he cooed quietly yet vowed, "I will return...until then, sleep."

Summary
Following the battles and suffering in Japan, the clans of the west rose to triumph and paved a new path to peace and harmony throughout the lands. But, all of a sudden, he found himself in a tangle of dilemmas when a specific Oiran caught his eyes. A distant and impossible love bloomed, prohibited between the boundaries of role and responsibilities, names and origins - between a young lord and a courtesan.
