Summary
Disclaimer. I am still working on this, however the genie is out of the bottle, so I am posting what I have. I apologize that this is such a very long story. It took on a life of it's own. And this might not suit many readers.
A story set in Cornwall in the year 2000. The main characters are included. Some as they were portrayed in the books and TV series, some modified.
This is an AU for the story of Ross Poldark and Demelza Carne.
It eventually become explicit. It is long. It's nothing more than my take on what if Demelza met Ross in the modern world? How might that work out. So it doesn't adhere exactly to the time line and story from the books or series.
They meet under very different circumstances and this is the story as it plays out in that time and place. -

Summary
This is an alternative universe of the major Poldark Characters... I just like seeing them in alternative times and places. This during Ancient Roman era...
About a young woman and several from her village in Britain being taken as slaves to Rome. These initial seven people are sold to a minor patrician recently returned from Britain. I really do know Roman history and the brutality, I have studied it extensively pursuing my college degrees. So, I have made this deliberately less historically accurate to create the story I wanted. This may digress too far from the main Poldark story to meet other readers expectations. So fair warning. And, at this point it isn't complete. But, I am working on it.
As I am my only editor, sadly there will be mistakes, but as I find them, I correct them. But I also try to have a bit off voice for speaking at times, again deliberately. And it does get erotic, so fair warning it you don't like sexually explicit scenes. If I think of anything else, I'll add later. Right now, it's pretty long, so may take time to get all the chapters up... -

Summary
An imagined visit of George to Nampara and an encounter with Demelza that has both of them like two generals thinking of the past and potential.
There is mention in here of a drug being used for migraines. This drug did exist, I took it for over 40 years, and I know of what I wrote.
The sex is imagined, but a bit graphic. And make no mistake it is entirely a fantasy of my own.

Summary
While still master and scullery maid, Ross and Demelza encounter a storm. Nothing sexual, some brief mention of nudity. They spend a night taking care of the destruction left by the storm. A bit philosophical on the part of each. Yet unrealizing their future.
I hope I managed to capture the time before either was fully aware of the other as a future mate...And I hope I captured the Ross and Demelza of the series and somewhat of the books.

Summary
A little exploration of Ross, his capture and memories of Elizabeth that sustained him while a POW. An imagination of what might have happened. I have always found the fascination of Ross with Elizabeth one that made me want to know why. Not sure anyone ever understands someone else's love for another, but wanted to explore that happened to Ross during the war and how his memory of Elizabeth and determination to return home, to her might have shaped his imagination and ultimately his dedication.
Have added a few extra chapters, maybe one more to add. -

Summary
This is a companion story, of an alternative universe for Ross and Demelza, of them in a prior life. I like the concept of other lives being lived and people finding one another. It was also a bit of fun for me, I have traveled to Island which is Iceland, but once called Island. It is an amazing place. Also, while I've taking a kinder and gentler approach to Vikings, I have studied them extensively, hence the going to Iceland as part of a capstone for a class. So, it's not as bloody or cruel as the reality of the culture and era. So if you want pure history, this isn't.
And I confess it was initially only to be a couple of chapters. And I apologize for it being so long. And, this is a bit more from Roteus/Ross' point of view. Some may not find it enough Ross and Demelza and so may not enjoy it, which I do appreciate. But for me, it is a way to see them in my mind and give them other lives and stories, though trying to keep them the same.
Sorry if this is cryptic.
Please be aware it is a bit erotic at parts. The first few chapters are NOT sexual at all, but it gets there. I know that erotic isn't to the taste of many, so fair warning.

Please be advised, I have added a chapter, and though the first remains non-sexual, the second is. So, please if you want to read the first, it is safe.
The first chapter is is NON Sexual, so no worries for those who don't care for that in a story.
Also, in my writing, each entry is in a different handwriting, so emphasize the difference each told, however, AO3 would not let me use different fonts. So if any one knows how to convert fonts for selected entries and not the whole thing, please share.
I'm not sure this will be to everyone's liking. And I respect that.
Please feel free to comment. Writing is such a solitary activity, but it is only when shared with others can the true measure of what one does be realized.
I hope some do find this to be an interesting look at one eventuality. -

There may be some criticism for the way I have used the character's voice, use of pronouns. But it was quite deliberate. This is purely a thought based story. It unfolds purely in the mind/thoughts of one character. I wanted this to convey for the reader as if they were thinking, experiencing the thoughts of the character. So the lack of use of names is deliberate. The character has no need to use names. That sounds cryptic and odd, but it was deliberate, and I hope allows the reader to feel it more. But, I could be completely wrong. I'm not even sure I've finished this yet. And it is a completely fantasized/imagined event.
As ever, please feel free to comment. If this isn't working for the reader, I need to know. Writing is such a solitary industry, and yet one goal is to discover if the reader enters into the story and experiences it. So, I do appreciate, and hope to grow with any comments or feedback.
Fair warning, explicit. So for any who do not enjoy erotic descriptions, you can avoid this. -

Sorry for being so cryptic, but this one, I hope, am attempting to present a tiny conundrum in the telling.
This may not be to everyone's liking and so if you can't or don't want to get to the end, I respect that. I came to this story while visiting England this past summer and I am often "inspired" by a word or phrase, thus nil igitur mors est ad nos. But, between being in England and consumed while there, then returning to work, it has taken a while to finish this. I really didn't expect it to go so long, but sort of loved the period and exploring that AU. For those who can endure I hope you enjoy the ending. I don't expect this to be to everyone's taste. -

Ross reviews what his night with Elizabeth has meant for each of them. He is hurt, guilty, but unable to fully rectify any of the pain he has caused.
This is not erotic, feel safe with that. But it is very dark and philosophical and may not be to everyone's liking. Ross is the guilty party in this. Elizabeth and Demelza are who suffer for his behavior, something he is coming to terms with. Again, might not be to everyone's liking, but I do appreciate opinions. Writing is such a solitary path, but like the tree that falls in the forest, without someone to hear the story is it silent.
