Alex shrugs, in that carefree and charming way he does, as if certain no reasonable person could ever be mad at him.
Henry couldn’t.
The thought of spending a week sleeping alongside Alex and not being able to reach out and touch him — to caress his skin or to run his fingers through Alex’s hair while he sleeps, admiring the way his unruly curls will fall over the pillow – is a tragedy.
This will be torture.
Slow, painful, torture. Like someone had peeked inside Henry’s brain and picked the most painful possible way to torment him, tailored and customised specifically for him.

While on vacation together in Hawaii, Alex tells the resort it's their honeymoon so they can get a free upgrade. Pretending to be married is fine, until it's not, and Henry has to confront his feelings for his best friend of 20 years.

“I’ll come join you after I’ve taken care of Alexander.”
Henry raises an eyebrow. “Alexander? Did I miss something last night?”
Pez chuckles. “Honey, Alexander Claremont-Diaz is my college son, freshly imported from the States.”
“God, I’m glad I didn’t sign up to be a college parent—I can already imagine the absolute delight someone with a last name like that will be,” Henry comments as he takes another sip from the bottle next to him.
“Ah, Mr Fox-Mountchristen,” Pez enunciates jokingly and Henry mumbles a “touché” from the bed, “I’ve got a good feeling about this Alexander, you just wait and see.”

Henry is a second-year student at Cambridge University and pretty content with his life. That is until Alex stumbles into his college.
