Summary
Tim's dad is dead, killed by a boomerang to the chest, and Tim is an orphan now. He knows Bruce would adopt him if needed but he couldn't possibly impose himself on the Wayne's more than he already has. It's okay though, because he has a plan for this, he just needs someone to play the role of his estranged "Uncle Eddie".
Except... the guy he hires is weirdly concerned about his well being and Tim can't figure out why.
Meanwhile, Jason Todd is forced to reevaluate his plans for his debut as Red Hood, because, as it turns out, his replacement is a suicidal idiot who can't be trusted to stay out of trouble.
OR
Tim Drake fails to recognize Jason Todd, back from the dead, and hires him to be his Uncle Eddie to avoid getting adopted by Batman. Somehow this ruins everyone's plans.

He doesn’t really know why he says it, it’s not like Eddie cares about the old King of Hawkins High; Steve Harrington is an asshole. That’s just a fact of life. The sky is blue, high school is pointless, Steve Harrington is a dickhead.
But Eddie likes this kid, likes all of them actually.
Dustin turns to look at him, a small smile on his lips, his eyes softening, and bingo.

Eddie laughed. It was more of a shaky exhale, lashes fluttering as he struggled to keep his composure. “Stevie,” he whispered, fingers cradling Steve’s side like he was precious. “Yeah, no fucking shit.”
OR: Ma Henderson & Wayne Munson get cosy, Dustin makes an off-hand remark, and Steve spirals. It works out in the end.

Robin snapped her fingers in front of his face, causing him to startle violently.
"Steve, are you even listening to me?" she asked, her expression twisted in clear annoyance.
Steve sighed, turning in his seat so he could get a better look at her mouth. Honestly, he was trying to drive. Couldn't she wait to talk until they got to work?

Scott was the one who called the meeting, which was how he knew he had officially lost control of the situation.
“I’m just saying,” he started again, “things keep going wrong. We used to be better at this.”
“We used to have someone who did all the homework,” Lydia muttered.
“And who thought about traps,” Kira added.
“And backup plans,” said Boyd.
“And bribed the janitor to let us into the boiler room so we could kill that sewer wraith,” said Isaac.
Scott blinked. “Wait, what?”
“Don’t worry about it,” Erica grinned. “Point is, Stiles handled logistics. All of them. Quietly. And you let him.”
Jackson, ever the tactful one, said, “You guys were codependent as hell and now your emotional support gremlin doesn’t come around and we’re all going to die.”
“Can we not call him a gremlin?” Derek growled.Or: The Pack realizes how much they relied on Stiles, but they believe they've lost him forever. Peter isn't helpful, so they come up with the most ridiculous ways to get him "pack" (hehe).
