“Wow, you’re short.”
Tobio regretted the words as soon as they jumped out of his mouth. Too blunt, his sister Miwa winced. What the hell is wrong with you? his freshman year roommate spat. You doing okay? his friend Hajime asked. He paused his mental conversations and opened his mouth to tell the guy he was sorry. He had to be better, damnit.
“Well, you’re ugly!” The redhead had his head cocked to the side, a hand fisted on his hip, a devastating grin on his face. “But you don’t see me complaining!”
Tobio was caught off guard by the reaction. He swallowed down the apology on the tip of his tongue and ended up choking on it. He coughed as he attempted to regain his footing. “See? How can you see words?” Never mind that Tobio was synesthetic and knew colors were symphonies.
“Hear, then! Either way, you’re ugly!”
Tobio had only known this guy for ten seconds, and he already wanted to punch him. Yeah. That was the reason he felt so flushed. He was mad. No other explanation.- Language:
