Summary
“Do you have a favorite flower, Sara?”
Sara stills in her ministrations, fingers tangled in the Almighty Shogun’s silken violet hair. Yes, she may be within the royal gardens of Tenshukaku, humming to the tune of a stormy breeze as she braids morning glories into Raiden Ei’s hair. But the gentle, affectionate tone with which her name (not General Kujou, but Sara) leaves her god’s lips never fails to steal her breath away.
She takes a moment to think about it, for she deserves an answer worthy of her question.
Sara and the woman she loves speak on the subject of flowers. Day 1 - Rain/Change/Flowers

Summary
That momentary flicker of relief gives way quickly as Miko approaches, an exasperated sigh creeping to the tip of her tongue: ”Ei, darling, come back to bed. If you’re worried about Sara, you and I both know the little tengu is perfectly capable on her own, so—”
“Hello, Makoto.”
Miko freezes for two very good reasons.
The first: well, that one’s rather obvious, isn’t it?
The second: that’s not Ei’s voice.
On the night of her birthday, Miko finds Raiden Ei sitting beneath the boughs of the Sacred Sakura.

Summary
2B slowed her pace, glancing back over her shoulder. 6O met her gaze with a blind grin, her eyes covered by a repurposed YoRHa visor. 2B led her by the hand through the wilderness, taking care to stick to flatter, stable terrain. Even without the blindfold, 6O’s model hadn’t been afforded the same acrobatic capabilities as a combat unit.
Taking that into account, 2B had practiced their route three times the previous day. It was enough that she felt comfortable turning her attention from the road ahead for a moment.
“I scavenged it from spare parts in the city,” 2B answered. “There may not be much of a YoRHa network to speak of anymore, but at least it’s useful for this.”
6O tilted her head in a semblance of what 2B was fairly certain was an eyeroll. “Always so serious. You’re lucky I think it’s cute, you know.”
“Ah,” 2B breathed. “I suppose I am fortunate.”
6O giggled. “Only kidding, 2B.”
“Of course.”
“I think it’s adorable.”

Summary
The thought returns to Mòrag again—a familiar one, at this point—ever since Brighid, the Jewel of Mor Ardain, mightiest blade of the Empire, was superseded in her mind by just… Brighid.
She’s helped her with this routine nearly as long as they’ve known each other, each morning and each night. Has she understood, and simply remained politely silent till Mòrag sees fit to speak of it? She knows first-hand the archives of Mor Ardain are frustratingly lacking, but might her journal have spoken of…?
“Lady Mòrag?” Brighid says. Mòrag realizes she’s slumped forward, brow knit in consternation as she stares into the half-full glass of water.
Mòrag takes a deep breath. Tonight is as good a night as any. It’s not as if she’s going to stop thinking about it.
Mòrag realizes there's something she'd like to tell her Blade.

Melina looks to her, and the corners of her lips curl into a very sad smile. “I understand,” she says. “It is not yours, after all.”
On the Night of Black Knives, Ranni the Witch sees a ghost.

Summary
Hobbling down the path, A2 looked on in—well, not wonder, but it was something. Motes of light drifted through the air, shining like tiny stars. Or maybe they were petals.
Even the sound of her footsteps and the thud of her sword dragged through the mud seemed to echo like thunder against the silence.
“Statement: This is the chamber beneath the abandoned commercial facility.”

Summary
Something stirred beneath her breast. A quickening of the heart, of the blood. No shortage of time, yet for this dream, at least, her time was almost up.
Reaching into her coat, she produced a scrap of paper and a pen. Her handwriting had, admittedly, long languished, but this particular phrase was more muscle memory than anything.
Pressing the parchment into her sleeve, arm outstretched, she wrote.
‘Seek Paleblood to transcend the hunt.’

Summary
“We haven’t, have we?” Tyrux murmured, resting her chin in her hand. “Fought, I mean,” she said, looking to Hien, then back to the woman at her side. “Rest assured, Lady Yugiri—I’d win.”
“Mmph,” Yugiri groaned, averting her gaze with a suspiciously pout-like expression. “You mock me.”
Cute.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Tyrux laughed. “It’s just good to see you smiling so freely.”
On the eve of the siege of Doma Castle, Yugiri Mistwalker and the Warrior of Light have a heart-to-heart.

Summary
Accord communicated as much through touch as she did her ever-running mouth. A brush of the shoulders, intertwined fingers, a soft caress across the side of her face—fingers barely ghosting the edges of the flower’s petals.
The tenderness of it all baffled Zero. Once, she’d asked her what the point of it all was. Accord had looked her in the eye earnestly and said, “you’re just so fascinatingly human.”
Well, sure, maybe it was kind of nice. Maybe it was the fact that she knew she could trust Accord to stop if she told her to stop.
Huh. She trusted Accord, didn’t she?

Summary
Lucina snorted, then quickly covered her mouth. “That does sound like you, Mother,” she admitted, meeting her gaze.
Lucina had blue eyes. This was true of both her daughters—present and future. Beautiful blue eyes, her father’s brand glimmering in her left.
But as she met her daughter’s gaze, a violet, six-eyed mark stared back at her.

“You know, you don’t have to go today if you don’t want to.”
One shakes her head. “She’s my sister. I have to go. And…” One adds, almost as an afterthought. “I miss her.”
Most of her means those words. She hopes, in saying them aloud, she might assuage the rest.
One contemplates the merits of striking first.

“Why are you crying?”
The machine’s head tilted up to meet her gaze. “It’s just really sad, you know? A meaningless girl saw a black flower, at a place fit to die.”
Android and machine stared at each other in silence.
“Ooookay,” 9S’ voice cut through. “Don’t think we’re gonna get anything useful out of these guys, 2B.”
An unorthodox mission to the Iberian Peninsula leads three singularities into the midst of a tragedy long-forgotten.

eremophobia, n. - the fear of being alone
“Looks like we’ve got our work cut out for us, huh?”
You tilt your head at the familiar voice, and the streak of crimson you spot out of the corner of your eye confirms your suspicion. Shifting your balance from your position on the rail, you slide off in a single fluid motion.
“So,” you greet, landing in a crouch on the street below. “What’s on the agenda for Mondstadt’s greatest Outrider Knight today?”
Amber, to her credit, has gotten used to you dropping in from above by now. She turns around to face you, looking up from the map she’d been studying moments before. “Heya, Lumine! Hilichurls on Starsnatch Cliff—they’re getting a bit too close to the city for comfort.”
When a routine commission takes a bad turn, Lumine is left to face her fears.

Summary
“Corrin.”
“—more important to me than—” she paused. “Yeah?”
Azura blinked sleepily. “We’re married.”
Corrin’s mile-a-minute stream of consciousness ground to a halt.
“We’re married,” she echoed. “Our— our wedding was yesterday.”
Corrin’s eyebrows shot up. “You’re my wife!”
