Summary
Continuing my series of dream-inspired fanfiction.
**The Dream:**
Danny and Steve were somewhere—I assume they were on a case. They were trying to get information from a local man, but there was a language barrier.
For some reason, Steve put a whole pie in front of him. I have no idea what kind of pie it was because, in the dream, it was simply a whole pie. The middle was strangely sunken in.
At first, the man didn't understand what Steve was trying to communicate. Then, somehow, he understood and gave them directions.Danny and Steve followed the directions and travelled to the location on water jet skis.
Then their girlfriends showed up. They weren't anyone from the show—they were completely new characters.
The problem was that Danny and Steve were secretly in a relationship, so they weren't exactly thrilled to see their girlfriends.
They tried to keep pretending everything was normal, but eventually Steve had enough.
He decided he was done hiding.
In front of everyone, Steve walked over to Danny and kissed him.And that's where the dream ended.

Summary
So... this is Danny and Steve's story through my eyes.
Everything that happens in the show happens here too... unless I decide it doesn't. Think of this as my own little "fixed canon." If something changes, don't worry—I promise it'll be on purpose. At this point, Steve and Danny have spent more time with me than most of my actual family.
Which naturally led to this.
Oh, and before anyone asks...
No girlfriends.
I did this years ago with Rizzoli & Isles, and somehow people actually read it. Encouraged by that dangerous level of positive reinforcement, I've decided to do it again.
Will I overanalyze every lingering glance?
Yes.
Will I write the conversations they should have had?
Absolutely.
Anyway, if you're here for slow-burn relationship, unwavering loyalty, plenty of banter, and the Danny and Steve dynamic taking centre stage... welcome aboard.
I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I enjoy writing it.
