Today the sea is quiet. Too quiet.
Rain falls in torrential downpour, creating a cold and heavy haze over the Opera Epiclese. Neuvillette watches the sea's surface bubble in anguish as hundreds of thousands of raindrops pelt it like bullets. The roaring wind pulls at his soaked jacket, and the rain makes his long, braided hair cling to his back.
And even then it is still too quiet.
There is not enough noise in the world to fill the deafening silence that Wriothesley has left behind.

Neuvillette is cold, like he’s been pulled deep below the ocean’s surface. The pressure is so intense it crushes his entire body, and yet he is completely powerless against the sensation. The attempts he makes to orient himself are futile, as the darkness and silence swallow him up. He is afraid, and he wants nothing more than for the agonizing feeling to end.
Until suddenly, the feeling is gone.
Now, the sky is a brilliant blue, completely cloudless, with the unobscured sun shining brightly down onto the sand. Is this a dream? Or perhaps an illusion?
