Let’s just hope this team can save mobius again after an old evil has returned that only Sonic, Uncle Chuck, and.. Eggman? knew about.

Sonic isn't the first person to fight Eggman.
Shadow learns more about his... rival?
Rouge is learning about an island that sank?!Shadow can't sleep, so he goes on a run. Turns out a certain blue blur has the same idea. But something appears wrong to the ebony hedgehog, so he's going to learn what's going on.
Eggman finds an energy spike somewhere he hasn't been in nine years, and finds something that he didn't think he would.
Rouge is given an assignment from GUN to find information on an unnamed island, so she goes to Charles hedgehog. Maybe he knows something about it?

Summary
Sonic and Shadow have never truly gotten along and that is a bit of an understatement. The ebony hedgehog has always been suspicious of the other's intentions. Something about his emerald eyes has always caught him off guard. After a rather nasty encounter, Shadow starts to put the pieces together of Sonic's past. Was he really just a stupid kid without care in the world? Or was there something more sinister lurking. After a oddly easy fight with Dr. Robotnik, Shadow is kidnapped only to discover that he is bait for one of Ivo's new and absolutely terrifying inventions. Quickly, the dots start to align both Sonic and Shadow's true destiny... What will they discover? Will they be able to mend their hostile relationship?
(First ever fanfiction written back in 2015. It is a bit of a hot mess but I worked really hard on it at the time. We all have to start somewhere, right? I hope you enjoy it even though it is certainly my worst work xD!)
