Summary
Freminet couldn't go home, not to the House of the Hearth. Not after what he heard. Even if it was only a misinterpretation or words spoken in anger, it was enough to send him spiraling. Knowing that leaving the House was a futile task, he decides to turn to the only place he could possible hope to hide away with the facade of political safety: the home of the Iudex of Fontaine, Monsieur Neuvillette.
But hiding can only last him so long. Father will find him, and he will be punished. Or... will Father find it in her heart to allow him freedom, if only for a while? Can a place outside the House of the Hearth truly become a home?

Summary
"Neuvillette? Are you alright?”
Neuvillette opened his mouth -- when did his mouth become so dry? Why was his tongue like sandpaper against his teeth? -- he managed to gasp, “I-- I believe I am, just tripped over my own feet it seems.”
Already, Wriothesley was on the stairs, rushing down to him, as if this was an emergency. It wasn’t, though… was it? Neuvillette touched his brow, and his fingertips came back damp with sweat. Sweat? Neuvillette marveled as Wriothesley continued to thunder down the metal stairs, making them shudder as he rushed.
“You never slip. What’s going on? Are you okay?”
Neuvillette turned and looked up, catching a bleary glimpse of Wriothesley as he raced toward him. “Perhaps,” he shakily breathed, “You can call for Sigewinne… after all?”
Before Wriothesley could ask him to come back up to his office and sit on the couch to wait, Neuvillette crumbled like wet paper.
+++

Now Stanley has to figure out how to put the pieces back together and save the Parable.
