Summary
Freminet couldn't go home, not to the House of the Hearth. Not after what he heard. Even if it was only a misinterpretation or words spoken in anger, it was enough to send him spiraling. Knowing that leaving the House was a futile task, he decides to turn to the only place he could possible hope to hide away with the facade of political safety: the home of the Iudex of Fontaine, Monsieur Neuvillette.
But hiding can only last him so long. Father will find him, and he will be punished. Or... will Father find it in her heart to allow him freedom, if only for a while? Can a place outside the House of the Hearth truly become a home?

Summary
"Neuvillette? Are you alright?”
Neuvillette opened his mouth -- when did his mouth become so dry? Why was his tongue like sandpaper against his teeth? -- he managed to gasp, “I-- I believe I am, just tripped over my own feet it seems.”
Already, Wriothesley was on the stairs, rushing down to him, as if this was an emergency. It wasn’t, though… was it? Neuvillette touched his brow, and his fingertips came back damp with sweat. Sweat? Neuvillette marveled as Wriothesley continued to thunder down the metal stairs, making them shudder as he rushed.
“You never slip. What’s going on? Are you okay?”
Neuvillette turned and looked up, catching a bleary glimpse of Wriothesley as he raced toward him. “Perhaps,” he shakily breathed, “You can call for Sigewinne… after all?”
Before Wriothesley could ask him to come back up to his office and sit on the couch to wait, Neuvillette crumbled like wet paper.
+++

Summary
Stanley started this run with no intention of following the story -- just sitting at his computer, playing solitaire as long as he's allowed. But when a strange pop-up appears on his screen, Stanley's in for more than he bargained for; the Narrator is malfunctioning and the story is the last thing on his mind. Now Stanley has to figure out how to put the pieces back together and save the Parable.

Summary
Stanley wakes up to a feeling that is not quite right. He's unwell for the first time in the Parable, but that isn't possible... unless there's a glitch in the system that needs to be fixed. Unsure of how to deal with this developmental error, Stanley and the Narrator are thrown into the decision of a lifetime: To keep things as they are, and let the game crumble... or to rewrite the code and lose their entire history?

Summary
“This,” Wriothesley says, his voice a low rumble as he guides their fingers to the rope, “is to restrain you—if you’re comfortable with the idea. Lots of people find release and relief in being bound during sex. They can only take what their partner gives them. They don’t have to think about what they’re doing, what they should be doing, what they could be doing. Takes the pressure and stress of performance off.”
Neuvillette draws in a shaking breath, stunned by how much the idea of being bound appeals to him—for just the reasons Wriothesley has listed. If he’s bound, he cannot be concerned with how Wriothesley might want to be touched, cannot be concerned with what he may be doing incorrectly.
“You’ve got so much pressure on you,” Wriothesley continues. “Being bound, knowing you don’t have to give me anything—I thought you might find that enjoyable.”
Wriothesley binds and blindfolds Neuvillette one evening, giving him sweet reprieve from his myriad responsibilities.

He's – between colleagues. The phrase occurs to him and he snorts into his drink, laughing because the alternative is hurling his glass at the wall, and that's only taken as a compliment here on Sundays.
