It was woven and clumsily wrapped in cellophane. “The woman at the store said I needed a bag to put the basket in. I do not see the point of this, but for you I wanted the best, so I bought the bags.”

Summary
Highschool life comes with a lot of struggle, specially when you have a group of boys with a passion for volleyball and a deep love for each other. For the next few years they will learn, gain friends for life, and get in a lot of trouble.
Kageyama Tobio just wants to play volleyball, and he wants to win, that's his plan. What he did not count for was a bright-haired small guy getting in his way, in more ways than one. With this, Kageyama can't even imagine what he is in for, and what will become of his life after meeting his spiker.
Daichi firmly believes he has a perfect life: he has a team that he considers his family, he gets to play his favorite sport with his friends, and he has Suga by his side. Nothing could go wrong, except when he realizes the truth about his feelings towards his best friend, and maybe he can't keep ignoring his heart palpitations anymore.
Asahi never thought he would be in too deep with the team. He never thought volleyball would be so important. The same could be said about little spiked-haired Noya, who could make his head spin with just a smile. Sooner or later, he's gonna have to do something about it.

Tobio runs by himself every day. Even though he can't shake off that awful feeling that something's closing in on him, he still does it. It's habit now.
When he gets a phone call that Hinata Shouyou is thinking of coming to Italy, Tobio feels like he has to run even faster.
(Or: Tobio has a month to prepare himself before his high school rival comes to visit him. They haven't spoken to each other for two years, and Tobio can't even remember what food Hinata likes. He's got a lot to think about.)

Summary
For all these years, he’s been able to read Hinata so well, the only person who has ever come so naturally to him. What he’s thinking, what he really means beneath his teasing words and remarks, what he’s going to do on the court, it’s all a well-read map to Tobio. And even though Hinata is surprising by nature, breaking expectations as easy as breathing, Tobio still knows him. Hinata can take him off guard, but Tobio still knows.
It's an extremely bitter pill to swallow: the knowledge that he might, just maybe, not have all of the pieces to Hinata’s puzzle.

“You were just a kid, Tobio. Things are different now. You’re different. You’re not an irredeemable monster for making a mistake.” Hinata willed his words to get through. “I know that what happened still hurts you. You don’t have to make excuses for why it shouldn’t. It’s okay to be upset about it.”
Kageyama sucked in a shaky breath, looking down and away, still unconvinced despite Hinata’s best efforts. “Look, it… It’s over now. It happened years ago. There’s no point in going back to it.”
Hinata sighed, tenderly tracing Kageyama’s cheekbone with the pad of his thumb, moving several strands of hair out from his eyes. “It’s okay to let yourself grieve over the things that happened to you, Tobio,” Hinata said quietly. “It’s not too late.”
