“Kacchan,” Izuku comes up behind him, “Now really isn’t the time to be yelling.” Bakugou swivels around to look at the other boy.
“Tell your rat friend that I’m not going to hurt his bird!”
“Why are you so hung up on this?” Todoroki asks, standing and brushing the dirt off his pants. Rody looks down at his clothes.
“Rat friend?”
Izuku sighs, rubbing a hand up his face, “Rody. His name is Rody, and Bakugou isn’t going to hurt Pino.”
Rody eyes Bakugou before standing as well. “Well if you take offense to me thinking you’re gonna hurt my bird I’m gonna take offense to being called rat friend. It doesn’t even make any sense!”
Bakugou scoffs, turning away. Todoroki sighs, “He never explains his cruel nicknames.”
“I don’t need to explain your nickname, you Icy-Hot bastard.” Bakugou snarks over his shoulder, falling in line behind Izuku who’s leading them down the cliff further away from prying eyes.
“Yes, but what about Shitty Hair.”
Another scoff, “Are you fucking kidding? You’ve seen Ei’s fucking hair. It is shitty.”

"Izuku has less than 2 seconds to process hearing the infirmary door open and a shockingly familiar voice ask in exasperated english, "Deku's here, right?" before the curtains in front of him are aggressively swept aside and suddenly he's standing right there, breathing hard with a certain pink bird following close behind.
"Izuku Midoriya," Rody raises a hand to point at him accusingly despite having to lean forward and place the other on his knee to catch his breath. "I thought you died!""
OR: Rody comes to Japan/UA for a surprise visit the same day Izuku ended up in the infirmary for the millionth broken bone of his lifetime.

When Izuku draws away to look down at Rody, his tears drip from his nose to land on bloodied cheeks.
“I told you.” he whispers, “I told you we’d see each other again.”
“If dying is what it took to get a kiss I would have died sooner.” Rody mumbles back. Izuku chokes, tears running faster down his cheeks. Rody’s eyes widened, “I-I was kidding.”
“You’re bleeding out.” Izuku sobs, “Now is not the time.”
Oh. Fuck. They are to be quite frank, both dying. Right now. Izuku has no idea when they’ll get out of here. He holds Rody tighter, he should try to staunch the bleeding or something. He isn’t sure where it’s coming from though, and he doesn’t have the strength to tear a piece of his clothing to make a makeshift bandage. The room is in better shape than the rest of the facility. The only opening being the door Izuku had come through minutes ago. It might be the only way out, and if it is, they’re dying in the hall just beyond.
“Hero,” Rody’s hand has slid from his neck up to his face, pawing clumsily at Izuku’s cheeks. “You aren’t gonna be able to carry me out of here.”
