Summary
When he arrived in Fhirdiad with nothing more than the clothes on his back, Dedue had constant dreams about family. Instead of wrestling with any violent flashbacks, however, he found himself greeted by a doorway to the mundane reality of his past captured in acute perfection. Not violent, yet nonetheless cruel: as Dedue woke with tear-soaked pillows, it was as though he had been ripped from home a second time, a third time, however many times it would take to kill a person anew.
Then the vassal would wash his face, get dressed, and come see Prince Dimitri in his room.
