It was a full bloom when they first met. It's a full bloom too when he confesses his feelings now.
Afterwards, the seasons follow their love together.

Summary
It was the lavender that Nanami smelled first, that faint yet crisp floral scent that had become so familiar. Haibara loved it - he once gifted Nanami a bundle of the dried flowers, telling him, “𝘏𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘩𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳! 𝘐𝘵’𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘰 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥!”
The scent of blood was next to follow. Its metallic, grating odor was familiar as well. An old acquaintance that Nanami was tired of meeting. Once it made itself apparent, it did not go away, and instead dominated the last faint notes of lavender, keeping them well-subdued under its heavy aroma. Nanami's eyes stared ahead, unmoving and unfocused, looking somewhere towards the floorboards of the assistant supervisor’s car that was taking them back to Jujutsu High.
For Haibara, it would be the last time.

Summary
Nanami has cold hands and a warm heart, which he has safely hidden behind tons of ice walls. It's better and easier this way. And Haibara's hands are warm, his heart is so big, and it seems that it capable of accommodating all the love of the world.
