"You never told me you were there because your brother is my teammate." Daniel snaps quietly, his sunglasses covering this eyes which once stared so deeply into mine they made me breathless.
I swallow hard, refusing to be intimidated by him. "You didn't ask." I say simply. Which was true, he didn't. "I told you I was there with my brother." I try my best to remain confident but the facade is beginning to slip. We both know how easy it would've been for me to drop into the conversation that I was Lando's sister. I chose not to.
I chose not to because I wanted what happened to happen.

Summary
Bucky Barnes has been alone since he left HYDRA, well, not alone per se, but alone enough. He doesn't really plan on changing it. With the Flagsmashers running rampant, and his memories barely subsiding long enough for him to sleep, now is not the time for him to get involved. Of course, life rarely goes the way we plan.
Eleanor Bridges is really, honestly not looking for anything, but if it happens to find her, she's not one to complain. After all, life has a funny way of working out for her. When The Bucky Barnes quite literally runs into her one afternoon, she tries to take it in stride, after all, everything happens for a reason, and if that reason is so she spends time with the man once called The Winter Soldier, well, it's not really an issue now is it?
The two of them make quite the pair, one stoic the other wearing their heart on their sleeve. But somehow, it just might work out for the best, in the best way possible.
After all, everyone deserves a happy ending.
(AKA, Bucky gets a girlfriend during TFATWS, and she's awesome)
