“Have you seen my glasses?” Jason mumbles, and he struggles to squint in front of him.
“I’m holding them, Jace,” Nico assures. Best not to let his boyfriend run face-first into a brick wall while drunk and break the pair of glasses into smithereens. He sets Jason down on the chair and stares at his boyfriend expectantly, as azure eyes narrow on the water bottle.
“Wolves don’t have thumbs,” Jason grumbles. He bares his teeth over the bottle, and Nico watches him struggle.
“Jason,” Nico hears Leo say with far too much amusement. “You left your shotglass over here.”
“Leo, I will make sure he pukes in your toolbelt again,” Nico warns a second time. Per usual, Leo only laughs, while Jason seems to weigh his options.
“Shot glasses are wolf-friendly,” Jason mumbles.

Days after coming back from Elysium, Jason goes to Leo's birthday party and gets stupidly, stupidly drunk. At least Nico's there.

Summary
The touch is chilling. Nico can’t hear a heartbeat. Jason’s skin is colder than ice against Nico’s own, and he feels the goosebumps rise against his arms as his cheek is against the crook of Jason’s ghostly neck. They’re close to the same height, Nico thinks, and he shivers as Jason envelops him in a deeper hug.
“You’re so cold,” is all that Nico can say. A thousand words are on his tongue and a million questions run through his mind, but all he can focus on is Jason.
“You’re not,” Jason whispers back.
Nico hugs him back, holding back a sob against Jason’s shoulder.

After Jason dies, Nico spends a year and a half trying to move on. Trying not to spiral, like he did with Bianca. But as much as everyone tries to help him, he wasn't happy that Jason left him in the first place. And for some reason, he's still not happy now.

When Nico di Angelo first arrived at Camp Jupiter, nobody really knew what to do with him. He was scrawny and short and looked at least a little malnourished, and the shadows clung to him like they were trying desperately to drag him into the Nether.
Jason, for his part, thought the guy looked pretty cool, but he was only a centurion, and even as the only child of the Big Three, saying “that guy looks pretty cool” was not going to convince the Senate of anything but Jason’s impending lunacy.
