He lets out a long sigh, and doesn’t bother to check the caller ID before pulling his phone out, balancing the bouquet of flowers and chocolates in one hand and swiftly answering the call with his other.
“You don’t have to call and check up on me every five minutes. I’m trying, just give me a few hours to prepare, okay? My mental state is very fragile right now, Iruma-chan!” He huffs into the receiver. He can wait a few hours, there’s really no rush. “You’re not the one who’s going to try to confess to Saihara-chan tomorrow!”

The line falls silent. Far too silent. Iruma is never this silent. So, why…?
He pulls his phone away from his ear and double-checks to make sure he didn’t accidentally hang up. No, he didn’t, so why—?
His eyes nearly bug out of his sockets at the sight of the name at the top of his screen.
