Summary
The Withering came and went, but Ruben Village is not out of the woods yet. Henir’s influence left its mark on the forest, and the Tree of El cannot bloom fully without its original El Shard. Elsword and the villagers are learning to recover, and he’s ready to shoulder their hopes. He vows to get the real El Shard back no matter what, but he isn’t preparing his journey for the village’s sake.

The El Search Party needs a plan to pursue them, but, while Add creates a portal to the demon realm, there's not much else for the Elgang to do. Ainchase decides to follow Elesis and Elsword to Velder to kill time, but finds himself doing things that are far from his usual mandate.

There once was a promising Scepter—a neuron of Nous—tasked with a seemingly impossible endeavour for a machine: to calculate, not to feel or resolve, nor to emulate, but to calculate the Prime Mover of Life. It is said that, had it succeeded, organic lifeforms could no longer claim any semblance of superiority over inorganic ones. Nous THEMSELVES blessed the research and made the Scepter one of THEIR neurons, awaiting the result of the most complex calculation yet.
But what if the answer the Scepter arrived at was as irrational as Life itself?
This is just part one of my take on what lead to Irontomb's creation. Machines can't become a "bottomless well of rage" and I hated that part of Lygus' diatribes in 3.4, so I'm pretending that explanation is just Lygus being delulu.
