Summary
There’s a great deal of pain, but she is aware of it in much the way she's aware of sounds of screaming and dying ahead and around her: with mild interest, at some remove. Shock, she thinks, or maybe poison, but no urgency accompanies that recognition.

Summary
Shadowheart’s magic mends and numbs but does not soothe. Gale has been healed by divine magic before, but has never felt anything quite like it. Aid from the clerics of the House of Wonder has always braced him; the touch of other gods’ power has warmed, or lulled, or eased pain. Even on the memorable occasion when he’d been treated by a doomguide of Kelemvor, not something he’d like to repeat, the feeling of the spell at work in his body had calmed and assured him. Sharran healing, it seems, offers no such comfort.
But what an odd Sharran she is.
Being healed by a Sharran is an odd experience. Befriending a Sharran, even more so.

They had all been tired, but Maribel was exhausted by the time they’d fallen into bed last night. They’d had a difficult day in the Hossberg Wetlands, and somehow Maribel had managed to get the worst of it, despite Beryl and Emmrich’s caution; Maribel is insistent that it’s her job to protect necromancers, and it is, but that doesn’t mean the necromancers in question relish watching her take blows intended for them. They’d patched her up with healing magic easily enough, but she’d been asleep almost as soon as her head hit the pillow.
Maribel Ingellvar does so much for her partners, and rarely asks for (or allows) anything in return. Beryl Ingellvar and Emmrich Volkarin decide to tangibly demonstrate their appreciation.
