Summary
Due to a god’s prank, Mydei is turned into a lion. The criteria to break the curse are eventually met, only for the Heirs to discover that Cipher’s prank isn’t over, and a certain professor is turned into a small, mint-colored cat…
Mydei climbs into the bath first to test the temperature of the water, somehow managing to do it gracefully even as a lion.
Having acquired a feline aversion to water, Anaxa doesn’t follow, ears flattened back where he sits a foot away from the tub, eyeing it warily.
The lion croons patiently down at the mint cat in persuasion, large paws draped over the side of the tub. The mint cat meows back at him, reluctant.
Phainon doesn’t clutch at his chest, even though his heart is about to palpitate out of his ribcage screaming CUTE CUTE CUTE—
He leans against the counter for support. While the two are preoccupied, he sends a photo to Castorice.
Phainon: Call the paramedics.
Phainon: My heart can’t take this anymore. I am deceased.

A cat with pretty mint-colored fur has been following Mydeimos around for the past two days. His manner is odd, following Mydei openly and making no effort to conceal his actions, but he also remains unobtrusive, taking care not to disturb his routine.
And, despite lingering near him, Anaxa appeared exceedingly peeved to be doing so.
When Mydei raised the matter with Krateros, his teacher had been at a loss as well. “Cats,” Krateros said with a shrug, as if that explained it.
