Chances are, she and her delectable father will be back to see you sooner rather than later, and then you can give him your number, arrange to see him in a decidedly non-professional setting, and get your leg over. Simple.”
Or, Henry became a paediatrician to help sick children—not to flirt with their adults.

Alex’s small place is merely a walk from Henry’s brownstone. A walk that they both find themselves making less and less these days, often spending days at a time exclusively at Henry’s. Alex has been living at Henry’s while he’s away. The practical reason, the one they tell their friends and siblings and bodyguards, is that someone needs to watch David. Which is objectively true, David needs to be fed and walked and cuddled, but Alex would’ve stayed at Henry’s regardless and everyone knows it. He’s too attached to the smell of Henry’s cologne on everything and Henry’s clothes hanging in the closet and Henry’s books lining the sitting room wall. He’s waiting to talk to Henry about it, but Alex wants to move in. Officially. But it has to be Henry’s decision.
