For three days and three nights the court was cloaked in terror. It could be sweet and romantic, and maybe part of it still is, but the grip of Toji's hand stretching out to cup the back of Megumi's head is too strong and possessive to only be nurturing. His fangs ache at the sight of Megumi's half-assed disgust toward Toji's fingers threading through his damp hair, his thumb's gentle pressure — loving but firm, meaningful — rubbing just above his ear.
Sweat plasters Megumi's dark bangs to his red cheeks and forehead, and his eyelashes clump together with angry tears as he turns his pout into a full frown. He breathes out, harsh and shaky like a curse, and then finds the words.
