Summary
In a war-torn world, there is but one survivor. A war fought long and hard. War paid with the blood, sweat, and tears of both Shinobi and civilians alike. With the sole intention of preventing the Fourth Shinobi War, Naruto travels back in time, but what happens when unexpected friendships blossom? A series of trials await Naruto, but he is skeptical if he's willing to risk everything yet again. He doesn't want to be alone again, but he doesn't wish to get close for fear of loss. Will he follow his heart or allow his sorrow to bathe him in darkness?

Summary
Iruka never expected to adopt anyone, especially not the nine tails jinchuuriki but life is weird like that. But between shared ramen bowls and protecting each other from loneliness Naruto became Iruka’s only family.
The village has opinions about that. Harsh whispers and not so subtle side eyes and glares that follow the two wherever they go. Iruka doesn’t care though, Naruto deserves someone to look out for him.
A certain dog masked anbu also has opinions but not for the same reason. His problem isn’t Naruto rather Iruka. Iruka’s pranks, stuborness and his reckless kindness even the absolutely infuriating way he’s managed to wedge himself into the anbus carefully controlled world.Or
Iruka steps up as the guardian for Naruto despite all the judgement he’s forced to face from the village. He must deal with the loneliness and a persistent anbu that keeps showing up in his life. Maybe a family wasn’t part of the plan but when has Iruka ever planned for anything? Fate and a very annoyed anbu seem to have other plans for him.

A manic smile curled his lips.
Fool him once, fool him twice but there would be no third time.
“You’re on borrowed time, pet. You will not escape from me,” he purred silkily.
Their breath hitched at his words, confidence visibly shaken at the weight of the words from one of the strongest men alive.
“Y-You…” they struggled, pinned under the intensity of having the full brunt of an Uchiha’s indefatigable attention on them.
Madara hears it really is quite an experience.
His grin widens, showing off gleaming fangs.

Summary
The wires fell away from Sasuke.
“Think hard on whether you can or cannot hold true to what I’ve said,” Kakashi finished.
A hawk cried out above him. He had to leave soon.
Yet, he hesitated.
Sasuke still slumped against the tree, an avalanche of an expression on his face. He did not look like he’d received the words to reconsider his goal of revenge. There was no way Kakashi was going to leave him like this. He couldn’t, not when every cell in his body screamed at him that leaving Sasuke alone now would be one of the worst things he could ever do.
The hawk screeched again.
Who, then? In whose hands could he leave Sasuke? Gai? No, he was too preoccupied with Lee. Tenzo was off the table. The other jounin senseis?
His answer came strolling along around the corner, about to pass under the tree they were in.
Iruka Umino's face scrunched in confusion as he neared the tree, eyes following up the trunk.

Summary
In another life, Orochimaru never leaves Konoha, opting to remain within the village that equally reveres and reviles him. Fighting a bitter battle against forces within the village that are more influential and well-positioned, he finds himself gifted with one last shining opportunity: three children, a team of genin, handed to him because Konoha has no better choice. Orochimaru agrees to become a jounin-sensei for the first and the last time, taking on the next generation's Team Seven: Uchiha Sasuke, Nara Shikamaru, and Uzumaki Naruto.
