“Restricted access. Only through the elevator in the security office. Come an hour early.” He continues staring V in the face, expression unchanging. “D’you get that?”
V sets her jaw. “Come an hour early. Got it.”

How V always thought the rest of her life would go is drastically different to how it actually does. The Bakkers sell out. Night City falls through. Jackie finds them a gig, somewhere far and with a view, and V meets someone strange, and caged, and new.
