Summary
This is how it tends to go. He asks what you want to do, you say you don’t care until he says he wants to go sit outside and then you realize you do care. The damage has been done, and you can’t change your mind. Not to save his feelings, but because you just don’t do that. It would be like making a fish live above water.
So even though it’s hot enough to cook a steak on Jake’s perfect chest, you must sit and sweat all the excess water in your body and pretend to be listening to whatever he’s talking about. Maybe this would be a good opportunity to ask some questions about him, get to know him on a deep and personal level, or let him get to know you that way. You could get lost in his eyes, or he could teach you how to weave the blades of grass like he keeps saying he will.
Or you could sneak attack him.
