    Summary

What if Red John broke Lorelei out of prison? What if Jane was given a choice he couldn’t refuse?

This story is AU post s5ep1 (technically AU post s5ep2 because I just had to slide in a mention of Devils Cherry — it’s one of my favorite episodes). I’ve decided to take liberty with Jane’s past as not much is given in canon, especially his childhood. Also, in my story it’s an OC RJ, not canon RJ. Please see the author's note for more details or you can skip my ramblings and go straight to reading.

What if Patrick Jane hadn't been alone when he fled to New Mexico?
What if Teresa Lisbon realised that she couldnt live without him?

Brave confessions and unexpected surprises may just be the toughest things theyve had to face yet.

Jane has spent the majority of the day on his couch behind her, occasionally interrupting her with questions or comments, but mostly they’re content to just exist in the same space.
