Summary
Rumi has not seen Celine in a long time. Perhaps this is why she’s thinking about it now, wine drunk, hiding from the girls in a hidden corner of the penthouse. She does not want them to see this, her unraveling. They would pull her away and into their bed, and she would recoil like she had burned them, because she is dirty and she cannot taint them, cannot bring them down with her.
They are good to her because they do not know. Celine is the only one who knows what she really is.
