    They were there. All seven of them. Sitting at one long table as if they owned it, which, in a way, they did.
    Hyunjin’s throat tightened. His fingers gripped his notebook so hard that the edges bent. He considered turning back, pretending he hadn’t seen them, but the sound of a chair scraping against the floor cut through the deafening silence.
