Summary

Changbin stands in the center of it all, chest heaving, shaking so hard that his legs go weak.
He sinks to his knees among the destruction, and his bloody hands fall into his lap.
He looks down at them, disgust curling sharp and sour in his stomach.
These are the hands that held Seungmin steady. These are the hands that brushed Seungmin’s hair away gently when he fell asleep on the couch. These are the hands Changbin folded neatly behind his back when Seungmin hugged him for too long because he didn’t trust himself not to pull him closer.

Felix pressed his hands to his temples, a strangled cry forcing its way up his throat as he tried to gasp for any semblance of air while his eyes squeezed shut against the onslaught of unfamiliarity.
It was like a hot iron had suddenly been pressed down on his neck, flashes of pain tearing through his head as images of faces he had never seen before started plaguing his mind like a jumbled film of shattered scenes.But just as abruptly as they had appeared, the images vanished from his mind's eye like a rubber band snapping, causing his vision to swim dangerously before his body eventually succumbed and everything around him fell into the peaceful embrace of darkness…

Before his left foot can get on the second step, Chris’s eyes meet a dark, curious gaze.
There is someone inside the tower, yes.
That someone is a demon, though.
Two, his mind supplies after a second.
Both demons are standing tall in the middle of the tower, the fluorescent breach in the Honmoon looking small between them.
A sharp inhale warns him I.N. has also taken the scene in.
The two demons are as still as statue, their big, dark eyes scrutinizing them: the one closer to them has long, blond hair, tied in a half-bun. His dark eyes are wide with surprise, and Chris almost giggles when he notices freckles on the pale cheeks. That’s new.
If it weren’t for the soft light blue patterns adorning his skin, this demon might almost look human, in his oversized hoodie and loose jeans.
“You’re late.” It’s the other demon who speaks, and Chris’s eyes snap to him: his hair is almost white, framing his graceful features and straight nose in long strands. Black, bottomless eyes are half-hidden behind the whitish strands.
His patterns are lilac, perfectly matching the pink sweater and light jeans he wears.
