A hand gripped his jaw, forcing his face upward. Through the haze of pain and tears, Felix saw the man who had slapped him. His mask was gone, revealing a cruel smirk that made Felix’s stomach churn.
“Look at you,” the man sneered, his voice dripping with disdain. His grip on Felix’s jaw tightened painfully. “Looking like that and wondering why people treat you like this.”
Felix’s chest tightened, nausea washing over him as the man leaned in closer.
