She’s been frustrated lately, getting excited over the most minor of things. Kit doesn’t understand why, but she feels it too. The heat, the emotions. She doesn’t have a word to it, but she knows it’s tearing her apart. What does she do with these feelings when she doesn’t even understand them?

Summary
Beatrice moves into an average, unassuming house after escaping her parents for good. Unbeknownst to her, her newly obtained freedom has another inhabitant. One who, for many years, has wandered the house alone, unseen and unable to touch.
Ava is a former quadriplegic orphan who doesn’t remember much about her life before death - not that there is much to remember anyway - and she has no idea why she can’t move on.
Together, they learn how to experience the world in ways they were unable to before.
Or: A ghost AU where Ava interacts with the world through Beatrice and Beatrice views the world through Ava.

Summary
The small picture prints and Ava waves it in the air for a few seconds before looking at it and laughing loudly.
“Let me see that-” and she snatches it from Ava’s hands, pulling a face when she sees herself in the photo, book held awkwardly in her arms and eyes squeezed, face grimacing at the unexpected flash. “Absolutely not-burn it.”
“What? No,” Ava laughs, snatching it back, “this is for my wank bank,” and at Beatrice’s horrified face she snorts, “dude I’m kidding, obviously.”

Or, Beatrice is due to graduate in a few months, going on to become a novitiate and take her vows. But the late arrival of her new roommate shakes things up.
