Summary
Hope is seen as delicate, ephemeral, made of whispers and spiderweb, breakable. It can be more. It's dirt on the face, blood oozing from a festering wound, grit of brimstone, and missing teeth. It's all they have so they can't lose it.
Husk has been dragged into Alastor's latest scheme. He doesn't have much hope left to give. Redemption? Sounds like a fucking pipe dream by a delusional princess that doesn't understand sinners. Al's hardly keeping it together. Their relationship is hanging by a thread and Angel Dust is determined to cut the cable.
Lying is as much a part of Alastor as his smile. He isn't at the top anymore with little hope to ascend, his deal wraps him in heavy, stifling, chains. He can't run. His lies are catching up to him. His last hope is the very place he's chained to. Everything he has done has been to get free, but in his need to do so, he can feel the bond he has cultivating snapping. The catalyst, a hotel for hazbins... like him.
