Summary
John kisses Paul in his kitchen one day, and feels awful about it shortly thereafter. But Paul is a tough habit to kick – things end up taking an interesting turn.
Nervously, Paul asks, “You haven’t been thinking about it?”
The simmering, guilty unease following him around, the sleepless nights; it’s probably not quite the same as what Paul’s referring to. He probably means something closer to the dreams he’s been having, the hot flashes of memory and the lurid fantasies that well up to distract him when he needs it least.
Well, it doesn’t matter what he means, either way. John is intimately familiar with the full range of thoughts on Paul.

Summary
A little remix of this kinkmeme prompt:
Paul wakes up in the hospital after his "crash" in 66, high on painkillers. John is sitting next to him. Paul, who is completely out of it, accidentally admits he's attracted to john
But instead of painkillers, Paul wakes up with temporary amnesia. The only thing he can remember is that he and John are in love. Unfortunately, John doesn't agree.

Summary
Elton remembered, vividly, the last time he'd seen John and Paul together, an unassailable little bubble of two in the corner of Elton's New York hotel room. Paul had been off his face then, too, but not like this.
"I've spoken to Yoko," Paul admitted, after a minute. "Now I've come to speak to you."
"What about?" Elton said politely, pretending not to know.
Or: in 1981 or thereabouts, Paul and Elton almost talk hard truths about John Lennon, but not quite.
