Andrew wanted to see if his heartbeat could echo off those walls. He'd read that it was possible, to hear all your organs, in complete silence.
It was pointless though, he knew. The Evermore, a large space station once twelve pieces, was never quiet and has never been in the century that it's been in orbit around Earth. There was always something; a clanking, whirring, tapping. Andrew could even hear the fans in the vents pushing oxygen around, the electricity in the light above him.
