He reddened and if he had less control over himself, would have spluttered at the question.
“Why would I ever want to touch anyone?” he growled.
He felt a bit guilty for being this harsh, but she never seemed to mind. It wasn't an excuse to keep going, but he was so used to behaving this way, he had a hard time being softer, even with her. He didn't know how she could look at him and see anything worthy of her love, but he was deeply grateful she did.
She hummed. “That's what I thought. Have you ever heard of touch starvation?”
