He stands there longer than he originally intended, taking in the sight of a garden that is very clearly flourishing. There is the quiet hum of insects somewhere beyond the wall, the occasional moment of leaves when the wind manages to reach them, and not much else.
Eventually, he takes his leave. His steps are slow and unhurried as he continues up the street, and he’s just about to round another corner when a voice calls from somewhere behind him.
“Hey! Hey, you!”
Satoru doesn’t turn around. He specifically chose this route because there were no people on it. Then, there’s the sound of rocks falling.One, two, and several.
What follows sounds suspiciously like a miniature avalanche.
Or: Satoru stumbles upon a garden, and Yuji gives him reasons to come back.
