Sara rolled her eyes, bumping shoulders with her wife. “That’s what I’m saying, just look at them,” she insisted, nodding to Spooner as she gazed up at Astra. Astra wasn’t paying attention, she was ducking below an overhanging branch. But even from the slight difference between them, Sara could see there was more to the way Spooner looked at her. Eyes bright and focused, yet guarded enough to keep her true feelings inside.
