Summary
The story takes place in 2023, two years after Kara revealed herself as Supergirl. She and Lena are finally together, married, and pregnant. Kara, Lena, and Alex have managed to recreate a Kryptonian reproduction machine that can fertilize eggs using stem cells.
Three of Lena's eggs were fertilized with Kara's cells and implanted into Luthor's uterus. Eight weeks after the egg implantation, Lena and Kara eagerly await the test results.
Even before the lab confirmation, a surprise from the future through a portal will give them the certainty they were hoping for, but it will also bring a lot of excitement and many conflicts. In the Luthor-Danvers family, confusion is the norm.

Summary
Lex has been defeated, and Kara and Lena are rebuilding their friendship, with Kara having realised she is totally and completely in love with her best friend. Kara plans to confess her feelings to Lena, but her plans are foiled as soon as she finds out about a girl called Lori. Lori is a 7-year-old girl who Lena was paired up with a few years ago as part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America programme. Lena takes Kara to meet Lori, and she immediately can see why her best friend is so taken by the girl. However soon after this Lori finds out that her foster parents are moving, and can't take her with her, leaving the young girl in emotional turmoil. Lena desperately wants to adopt or foster Lori, but she can't, due to the various attempts on her life, so Kara steps up to the plate, and offers to foster Lori.
